Welcome to Frames of Reference. This is a place for fellow cinephiles to reminisce about the wonderfully weird world of Hindi cinema – the songs and the dances, the drama and the suspense, the romance and the action, and everything in between.
Gather around the virtual fireplace and partake in this nostalgic journey down the memory lane. You will find trivia, reviews, playlists, and much more.
Your feedback and active participation will greatly enhance the experience for all of us, and for that we will be grateful.

Playlists
IYou can’t have a hindi movie blog without curated playlists of hindi movie songs to match every mood and every occasion.
Some of my fellow bloggers have used creative methods to weave together a collage of melodies that tell an engaging story. Others have simply created a carefully selected list of songs matching genres, eras, singers, or specific moods expressed in the song.
In this blog we are inspired by the timeless allure of Vividh Bharti’s Cchaya Geet, where anchors like Kabban Mirza or Kishan Sharma. Their masterful presentation and commanding voices gave memorable commentary and interesting back stories behind each song as they presented.
As always, this page is meant to be interactive and we welcome your feedback and comments.
